At the beginning of a design & build project we start with a blank piece of paper.
You won’t find a catalogue of our plans. We believe that good house design should always be inspired by the environment in which the home will sit and the people who will live there. BUT we also encourage checking out previous house designs to see what resonates for your own home.
Excellent design includes incorporating sustainability, passive design and energy efficiency. It’s not only nice to have, we believe it’s a requirement. No two house design processes are the same, because no two clients are the same – we offer a bespoke service that is unique to you.
Having your home designed by someone with our building expertise is a huge advantage right from the start. Your home will be designed with the knowledge of what will be possible and practical for your budget. We promise we’ll be honest about what isn’t.
As part of your design and build journey, we offer a free no obligation site appraisal. This is where we assess the following:
- How the site is orientated to the sun and how your house can be best positioned on site.
- What extent of ground works are required.
- How you could bring your design ideas to life.
- What obstacles are located on site if any.
- Look at site access, overhead obstacles, etc for the building team.
